Hello Rick,
Margaret and I are now back
in the UK after our NZ holiday. Looking back on our 5
weeks we had a great time, even though the weather was
not too kind to us at times (150 km winds in Wellington
and Auckland!) We both agree however that our Molesworth
trip with you was the highlight of our holiday, perhaps
even the highlight of the four excellent holidays that
we have had in New Zealand. It gave us a personal feel
for the "real" New Zealand, its history, settlement and
rural life. I used to lecture in tourism and I remember
telling students that tourism was not just about where
you went and what you did: it was also often about who
was there to interpret for you what you were seeing. We
both believe that it was your knowledge and past
experiences that made the day so memorable for us and we
would therefore like to thank you most sincerely for
"Molesworth." We have yet to put the films on to the
computer. When we do so - and if there are any good
pictures (I hope that there will be!) - we will let you
know and will select one or two to send you. If you
would like us to fill in any surveys for you that could
help in the production of future literature we would be
happy to do so (or quote from this email if you wish.)
Thanks for a marvellous day!
Very Best Wishes David and Margaret Hardman
Just a note to say how much
we enjoyed our Molesworth/Rainbow tour last week and to
thank you for the excellent commentary and a wholly
great time. A look through there has been on our list
of 'want to do' for some time and you have helped us to
achieve it, so a big THANK YOU! We have already raved
about it to numerous people.
Best wishes for your
continuing future success.
Regards, Ian & Jill McKillop.......................................................................................................................................................
Dear Rick
Ken and I wish to say a big thank you for giving us two
most enjoyable days checking out Molesworth and surrounding
areas.
Going with you with your vast and intimate knowledge is the
only way, who
like us have a great appreciation for the outdoors and the
people who live and work in the "back of
beyond". However, we think that to do justice to
Molesworth, one has to be taken through with a guide "to get
the feel of the history of the place".
Thanks again.
Kind regards
Rosemary and Ken Hall

Hi Rick,
I want to thank you for an awesome
trip, it was an insight into the country at the back of
beyond. I did a trip with you before when we went from
Hanmer
Springs and always wanted to do the other trip up to Rainbow. I
did not realise that when we did the Awatere Valley just how
long it was before we got into Molesworth, I was interested in the alpine
plants and it would be lovely to see it when the flowers were in
bloom but we were a bit too early. I had always been fascinated by
Molesworth and was pleased to have the chance to go and see it.
It is something I will not forget.
Kind regards Elizabeth Keats. .......................................................................................................................................................
Janet and I would like to thank you for the excellent
tour we had with you through Molesworth, St James and Rainbow Stations
last week. It was such an interesting two days and with all your
knowledge of those areas we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it, We
hope to come back again in the autumn some time.
Please pass on our thanks to Bob for his excellent driving - you two
make a great team. We were most impressed with the meals supplied and
the slick operation of tyre changing on day 2!
Kind regards
Peter and Janet Irvine.

Dear Rick
Thank you seems totally inadequate for
such a wonderful tour, through awe-inspiring landscape of
unbelievable beauty. The commentary was so informative, great
food, the driving
excellent and you had a great rapport with all of us oldies.
From "still on a high" June and Joan.
